Acupuncture Treatment
Acupuncture is one of the most widespread and widely used therapies within Traditional Chinese Medicine. In fact, it is a traditional practice with over 4,000 years of history and continues to evolve constantly today.
An acupuncture session, although it may initially seem intimidating, is a non-invasive and completely safe procedure.
At our acupuncture clinic, each session is personalized, designed according to each individual’s needs, and guided at all times by the acupuncturist.
Acupuncture needles are primarily used to address certain internal and external ailments that are linked to discomfort, pain, or disorders stemming from health problems or other conditions.
Depending on our assessment, the areas treated during therapy vary.
What are the advantages of acupuncture compared to a more conventional treatment?
Acupuncture can be beneficial in a number of ways, but it is not a miracle cure on its own. As many health centers that promote acupuncture as a holistic therapy that can perfectly regulate our bodies often point out.

What is an acupuncture session like in Kan and Li?
It all begins with a personal interview where the acupuncturist will ask you some questions to analyze your case and carry out the best practices focused on analysis and determining a diagnosis according to the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Many of the questions are aimed at analyzing the person’s balance, their energy flow, mental and emotional state, breathing rate, digestive activity, habits, etc.
Next, the acupuncturist will prepare the room for the acupuncture session. During the session, specific areas of the patient’s body will be treated with the help of needles, Tuina (massage) with different oils and other tools offered by this ancient medicine.
Our center’s philosophy is clear: “We go as far as you want to go.”
During the therapy, it is normal to feel minor, temporary discomfort and, at the same time, a sense of calm and relaxation. This is mainly due to the opening of the body’s meridians, restoring energy flow.
However, it is a completely safe procedure that involves no risk whatsoever.
Furthermore, within the specialty of acupuncture, there are other variations such as auriculotherapy.

Frequently asked questions about acupuncture treatment
-
Acupuncture restores, balances and unblocks the energy or Qi (Yang) and also the tissues, blood, and fluids (Yin) of our body, tonifying where there is deficiency and dispersing where there is excess or blockage.
-
The needles disperse, tonify, or unblock depending on where and how they are inserted into the body. Depending on the client’s needs, we will select the most appropriate points and perform the necessary actions to regulate and harmonize all their internal processes.
For example: If we have a client with neck pain due to blockage and congestion (excess), we will use points that disperse the area to restore the free flow of Qi and Blood. This significantly reduces pain and even inflammation.
-
Acupuncture itself doesn’t cure anything; it’s the restoration of the flow of nutrients and energy that allows the body to heal itself. Where there is an abundance and circulation of Qi and nutrients, there is health.
-
Depending on the ailment, chronic problems tend to take longer to resolve, while acute ailments can take less time. It all depends on the severity of the imbalance.
-
Acupuncture in general has no contraindications. However, specific acupuncture points may have contraindications for certain individuals.
Therefore, each session is personalized, and the set of points used is specific to each person.

Sometimes we can experience emotional disturbances, or specific pains, due to the release of energies that have been stagnant for a long time.
-
Yes, there are specific acupuncture techniques for beauty. At Kan&Li, we don’t offer them, but a regular acupuncture session can significantly improve both internally and externally.
Ultimately, with good circulation of Qi and nutrients throughout the body and all its layers, we achieve well-nourished and hydrated skin. This will leave it looking very soft, clean, and nourished.

After an acupuncture session, ideally, if possible, you should let the session’s effects run their course without engaging in any stressful activities or excessive exercise, so as not to block the channels that were opened during the session.
